Lian Pennings studied Life Sciences at the HAN in Nijmegen.
After her graduation in 2016, she started working at Radboudumc at the Medical Microbiology department as research lab technician and research coordinator. After doing research on Mycobacteria for five years, she started at the Medical Imaging department as research coordinator and is coordinating studies for the research groups AXTI and BIG.
