Joana Boita studied Biomedical and Biophysics Engineering at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Portugal). She graduated in 2016 when she obtained her MSc degree in Diagnostic and Therapy in Radiation. Her Master’s Thesis was entitled “Replacing Gamma Analyses with DVH Analyses for Individual Patient QA” and it was performed at Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon. She joined the Advanced X-ray Tomographic Imaging group within the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in October 2016 as a PhD student, under the supervision of Ioannis Sechopoulos . Her research project consists in developing, optimizing and validating a VGA test of mammographic image quality to predict clinical performance.
